This is a magnificent Royal Doulton "The Drummer Boy" figurine by Mary Nicoll. The Drummer looks as if he has just finished coming from the front line. He has realistic features, and his face has some bruising on it. He has brown curly hair and is wearing a traditional 1700''s soldier''s uniform in red, white and black coat, black pants and boots, also black, white top hat with a large traditional military crest in front. He is resting sitting on a tree stump with his leg on top of the drum, cleaning debris out of one of his boots. It looks like he was marching, and his feet started hurting. He has the drum next to him leg on it, with a blue canteen water bottle on his side, his backpack and blanket on his back. The figurine is high glazed and it''s 8 1/4" tall. The Royal Doulton is displayed at the bottom with the items number HN 2679. This figurine is in mint condition. No chips or cracks. No original box or paperwork.
