Auguste Moreau Sculpture "The Peacemaker"

Metal statue on wood base. Figure is 12" tall and 15" high with base. Blacksmith man/boy standing with hammer and anvil.
Label on base says "L’artisan De La Paix – Par Aug. Moreau". The artisan of peace.
Total weight 3.75 lbs. The wood base is pretty lightweight IMO.

Vintage pre-owned condition with flaws. The metal sculpture has lots of some kind of discoloration (ex photo #10). The base''s decorative outer layer is heavily chipped off (ex photo #5). Also importantly the screw system connecting the statue to the base appears to be weak/faulty, so the statue may become detached from base if you are not careful. The nut/washer tends to loosen. I suspect (one) issue may be that the connector bar (seen in photo #12) has trouble staying locked into place above the worn-down interior lip inside the statue, but I''m not sure.
