c1970 Modernist Japanese Woodblock Print

Overview: Up for sale is a small woodblock print by acclaimed Japanese print artist, Haku Maki (1924-2000). In 1970, Felix Juda, a super-collector who was close with Onchi, commissioned Maki to make a series of card prints through the Red Lantern Shop in Kyoto. This print is one of those that were commissioned. This shows the Kanji for "Fish" in Japanese on a yellow background with a blue sun. This print is tipped to a backing card which indicates it was commissioned by Juda. The print is titled (with the Kanji) at center, signed Haku Maki at lower right and numbered (99/250).

The print and backing card are in excellent condition.

Measurements: Print measures approximately 4.75 inches wide x 4.75 inches high. Backing card measures 5.6875 inches wide x 5.75 inches high. c1970 Modernist Japanese Woodblock Printc1970 Modernist Japanese Woodblock Printc1970 Modernist Japanese Woodblock Printc1970 Modernist Japanese Woodblock Printc1970 Modernist Japanese Woodblock Printc1970 Modernist Japanese Woodblock Printc1970 Modernist Japanese Woodblock Printc1970 Modernist Japanese Woodblock Print
