African Folk Art Hand Carved Wood Female Bust Sculpture 10.75" Tall
This piece was hand carved by artisan in Africa from one piece of heavy ironwood or ebony wood. Note the equisite detail in the images. The African sculptor utilized the original tree bark within his/her finished piece. It looks amazing. The artistic effect between the natural roughness of the back of the log and the delicate aspect of the woman is very charming. Measures approx 5" wide and 10.75" tall. In great condition with slight signs of wear from age as pictured. No repairs visible. Shows light hair lines and small nicks on the back side of the statue. Very heavy, weights 4Lb 2oz without package.
