One of a kind statement piece! HUGE, museum quality, fully natural hydrothermally etched phantom lemurian amethyst crystal. An extremely rare find in this size and top quality. This large quartz var. amethyst root crystal from Ceara, Brazil is glassy and gemmy all over the hydrothermally etched (“dissolution crystal”) structure. Over millions of years, underground heated mineral water flows and takes silica away from the crystal leaving behind a maze of beautiful shapes on the surface of the crystal. The double terminated amethyst has a perfect defined, smooth trigonal top termination and glossy etched bottom one! The high grade, fully intact, massive gemstone displays hues and phantoms in royal purple to lavender, with flashes of rainbow iridescence in the light. Exquisite, abstract and incredibly unique. A perfect fine mineral decor display piece at approx 5.25 x 3.5 x 3.5 inches and weighing just under a pound at 15 ounces.
