RARE World Class Gem Smithsonite Crystal Aqua Blue Aurichalcite Zoned Malachite
High quality and rare specimen of GEM Smithsonite, Aurichalcite and malachite from the Yanga Boubenza Quarries, M''fouati, Bouenza Department, Republic of Congo (DRC). This top grade slab was part of a limited find of the highest grade gemmy smithsonite crystals. The exquisite collector’s grade crystal features a fully natural, vivid aqua blue / bright turquoise gel smithsonite with translucent layers through the gem. The smithsonite combined with aurichalcite, adding great depth and contrast. The front and back faces have been polished to a glassy shine to show off the stunning bands and swirls of color. The sides were left natural and raw and are accented with emerald green, velvety botryoidal malachite crystals. The lustrous specimen has exceptional color, form and translucency and produces an aqua and mint green glow when backlit! A top shelf, fine mineral display gem measuring approx 3.8 inches long by 1.5 in wide, and weighs about 58 grams. Includes the collection ID card.
